The recent land scam in Maharashtra is not something new these type of things happen all the time in India.the other corruption scandal involving army men selling army goods in the open market in Kashmir which was given to them at a concessional rate.both the cases explains us that where ever they are either man in uniform or civilian or in political dress they will be corrupt when the political master ask for money the bureaucratic person under him will ask for money,and so on and so forth right down to the bottom of the ladder. every one is after money.so when the former army chiefs return land this is for publicity only and not for sincere reasons.if they were sincere they would not have bought it in lot.the persons of their status and I.Q (come-on they served as Chiefs-of-staff) cannot claim they don't know the lands background.Even a common man will check for background as land originally belongs to whom and ask if there is any problem with the land?.
As i said before if the media did not take the issue then these honest men will not have returned land as quickly as they did.
These type of corruption will continue as long as there are not no independent checking of the accounts.
